Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Welcome one and all to our first installment of Book Corner! As some may not know I used to read a lot of books when I was younger prided myself on being a bookworm but over the past several years that addiction wore off and now I’d like to read books once again! Here are my thoughts on the book Cinder.

If you enjoy fairy tales such as Cinderella but set in a more futuristic tone then this is the book for you! Cinder is a 16 year old Cyborg Mechanic, one day Cinders whole life is turned around when she meets Prince Kai, when he comes to look for someone to fix his broken android, but they find themselves in a forbidden romantic attraction and an intergalactic struggle.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was pretty easy read but with that being said was very interesting and left me guessing what’s going to happen next and the romance is written in such a way that it’s not too up in your face. Nice job! I was super sad that it ended but I cant wait to see what happens in the next book Scarlet which is apart of the Lunar Chronicles tales as well. A Big thank you to my ChickCast Cohost Cory Lutz for telling us about this book it was an amazing read!

The ending of this book was not what I had expected, had a great plot twist at the end I just hope they don’t try and make a movie out of it and mess it up because I would be severely disappointed. Futuristic is the only way to go! Will definitely buy the next book Scarlet and I will re-read this one for sure! Rating 9.5
